I love stacking rings! And the most wonderful thing – with a few simple tools and a little know-how, they’re so simple to create!

Sterling silver round wire, 20 gauge:

Silver solder paste with flux, easy (lower temp):

    Hi Laura,

    I saw your YouTube video,6/10/2011 regarding your watch bench find. I’m letting you know that I have an exact match in pretty good condition that I’m looking to sell. I was a watch & jewelry repairman in my own retail business for 26 years and bought this bench in 1988 from a German watchmaker in my area who was retiring. I believe the bench is about 70+ yrs old. I can provide pictures if you or someone you know is interested. I’m located in the Allentown, Pa region.

    What is the hardness of your wire? I have never made a ring before and am trying to order supplies…. Do you recommend half-hard or dead soft? Also, do you recommend any other materials for beginners that are possibly less expensive so messed up projects aren’t such an expensive loss?

    I heard German Silver, but I am overwhelmed with the options of metal wires and would really appreciate your professional opinion.

Also, i’ve just been using pro polish pads, how are you polishing your items? ( besides a dremel, I mean how with a dremel. Thanks
